Tierra del Fuego National Park
Created in 1960 with a surface of 63.000 acres, this place offers visitors a complex and sep landscape framed in the patagonic forest.
Geographically formed by mountain chains and glacier valleys. The vast lenga forests cover part of the mountains from the sea level up to 600 mts high. We can also find guindo or coihue of Magallanes trees in humid areas of the Rio Pipo Valley. Special fauna is found here: zorro Colorado fueguino (fox), guanaco and huillin, a sea carnivorous mammal from the otter family.

Lago Escondido (Hidden Lake)
Get ready to cross the Andes. That is right, this excursion will make you visit a variety of landscapes always escorted by the magnificent patagonic forest. Leaving Ushuaia to the east, we will stop to see the old Presidio (jail) and then go into the forest to be surprised by Velo de Novia waterfall. Bordering the base of Mount Olivia we will discover Sierra Alvear with eternal snows. At the foot is is Carbajal Valley, changing later to Tierra Mayor and Las Cotorras. The climb starts at Rancho Hambre villa. At Paso Garibaldi, 430 meters over the sea surface, we will be able to enjoy a wonderful view of Lakes Escondido and Fagnano. Then, we will go down up to the bank of Escondido Lake where the Hosteria Petrel (Inn) is situated.
